Mary Treschitta —
Marian Artist
"Barbara and I have worked together on Marian projects for decades, beginning with The Miracle of Fatima musical, which completed its tri-state tour at the SHU Theater in 2003. That production carried with it a sacred painting I created, which became the original logo for the musical. Interestingly, a few years earlier - in 1997 - I had the privilege of interviewing the visionaries from Medjugorje — an experience that has profoundly shaped and inspired the work we continue today."

HER MESSAGE
What She Wants From You
Peace
Our Lady's first and most frequent plea is for peace — peace in hearts, peace in families, and peace in the world. She came to Medjugorje calling herself the Queen of Peace, asking each person to become a carrier of peace through prayer and reconciliation. Without inner peace, she says, there can be no peace in the world.
Prayer
Our Lady asks for prayer with the heart — not rote repetition, but sincere conversation with God. She recommends praying the Rosary daily, attending Holy Mass, reading Sacred Scripture, and setting aside time for adoration. Prayer, she says, is the foundation of all spiritual growth and the path through which God's grace flows into our lives.
Fasting
Our Lady asks the faithful to fast on bread and water on Wednesdays and Fridays. Fasting, she teaches, is a powerful weapon against evil and a way to discipline the body and strengthen the spirit. Together with prayer, fasting can stop wars and suspend the laws of nature. It is an act of love and surrender to God's will.
Faith
Our Lady calls for strong, unwavering faith — a faith that does not bend with trials or temptations. She asks us to trust completely in God's plan, even when we cannot see the way ahead. Faith, she says, is the light that guides us through darkness and the anchor that holds us in the storms of life.
Penance
Our Lady asks us to make sacrifices and do penance for our own sins and the sins of the world. She encourages the Sacrament of Confession — at least monthly — as a powerful means of healing and grace. Through penance we humble ourselves before God, acknowledge our need for His mercy, and grow closer to the heart of Christ.
Conversion
Our Lady calls for a daily, ongoing conversion of heart. Not a single moment of change, but a continuous turning toward God in every area of our lives. She asks us to put God at the center of everything — our families, our work, our choices — and to let His love transform us from within. Conversion, she says, is the purpose of her coming.
