SYNOPSIS
Blessed is Her Name is a sacred retelling of the life of the Virgin Mary. It is based on The Mystical City of God, the spiritual writings of Mary of Jesus of Ágreda, a devout Franciscan nun from Agreda, Spain. Claiming to record divine revelations, her writing details the mysteries of the Divine Life and Death of the Virgin Mary, celebrated as Mother of Humanity and Queen of Heaven. The Mystical City of God is not doctrine nor religious dogma and should be received only as a means to inspire a greater understanding and deeper love of Mary, Mother of God.
Barbara was inspired by the 1912 English translation of The Mystical City of God, by Father George Blatter. Written with devotion and depth, Blessed is Her Name invites readers to walk beside Mary on her path to Christ, witnessing the triumph of light over darkness through the one chosen to bear the Savior of the world. It is our hope that Blessed is Her Name will do the same, for it is time to come to know the Mother of all humanity.
